| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

Sorry your life has been shitty, join the club, but yeah you do need a different kind of attitude to be on this forum. I hope you have a better life in future. |

| | Yes, most here have little to no time for any person who simply doesn't want to help themselves. Remember, we don't join you, you join us. "Us" is the members here... so for others desiring to troll or simply stir the pot, you won't get far here because we have better things to do with our time... like help people who want to be helped. |

| | A troll is a person that makes false claims in order to get "in close" with a group like ours, with malicious intent.
They will make false claims and "fake" their way through. Then they'll use that information elsewhere, to hurt or make fun of those they "got in close" with. Seen that happen before. And in that case they did a lot of damage. |

| | And those who have no other intent than to cause / make trouble... basically, bounce from one community to another causing mischief. From wikipedia: Quote: |
In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as an online discussion forum to bait users into responding.[1] They may also plant images and data on networks that others may find disturbing (usually indirectly relating to the individual in person) in order to cause confrontation. While not necessarily related to hacking, such a practice is against the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the United Kingdom, where mischief is caused in order to ensure chaos is spread.

| | And I think the key that told us he/she/it's a troll is when the line "What if I don't want to get better?"
Don't want to get better? Then don't come here.
Here get better. He we make improvements to ourselvs.
Here we rejoice in surviving. |

| | Absolutely CJ, and to be honest, a person who outright admits they don't want to get better here, is a person who will continue to try their best bringing those that do want to get better down to their sick and twisted level of existence... well said CJ. |

| | I don't want to be a nuisance in my first week here, but I think I undersand where the OP is coming from. What do we mean by "better" anyway?
Functional? Under control? Sure, I want that.
Normal? I don't think that's possible. Even if it were, would I want it? I'm not sure I would. I honestly think I see the world more completely than other people, and that I've been innolulated agaist fear for the rest of my life. |

| | Hmmm. I am by no means not afraid anymore. Fear is a major component to my PTSD. Also, fear is simply being human. I don't think there are really too many "no fear" people that were not on or are not currently on a path to self destruction and taking inappropriate risks because they simply are at the phase of not caring if they live or die. It passes with healing. It is not what you call suicidal, but a lack of care for one's self and safety.
Hope this makes sense... trying to type and read with a headache. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
