I know it sounds sooky, but I would write a note to Tonka telling him all the things about him I love, and mention a funny moment we have had together. Simple but effective. It reminded him I was still there for him and could "see" the real him, and it reminded ME why I was still there too!!!

Over the years I've written my husband notes like this for many reasons. The notes were pretty much always the same-that I love him and why I do.

I was cleaning out his sock drawer one time and I found all of the notes tucked in there together along with cards and other 'mushy' stuff. Talk about surprised! When he would read the notes, he would ususally give a small 'man grunt' (that noise they make when they don't know what to say) and then give me a kiss on the cheek. I figured since he didn't say anything that the notes weren't that important. I'm glad I was wrong.

I never mentioned to him that I found his 'stash', but it did show me that guys need the mushy, emotional stuff as much as we do.

Lisa

The Pysch said he needs time to settle down after his Dads passing away. And that was about it,
I am a bit dissapointed with that I suppose I was hoping for a miracle cure?
Oh well back to the drawing board! I hate it when I think there may be a light at the end of the tunnel but it goes away so to speak!

Hmmm, like you didn't know that your hubby is having issues dealing with his dad's passing. I would had been a bit pissed too, it would have been nice if the doc offered some ideas to help you both during this time.

Don't worry Jen, I'll start my quest to find that magic wand, I'm sure I put it somewhere.... maybe it's down that tunnel!

Take care
