Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Thank you Anthony, that is a very useful piece of information for dealing with Evie as well. She doesn't spend or drink, however she does become obsessed with various matters to the exclusion of all else. We did not think of it as a distraction either, but it makes perfect sense.

Jen, the spending is a scary thing, it can get out of hand so quickly. I do hope you are able to manage all right until you are fully rested and can help with the business once more.

Thanks Kathy I am starting to feel a bit better. I have a review with surgeon on Tuesday and if things are going ok I plan to start back at work a couple of hours a day. As Anthony said Hubbys cup is running over and he is not handlings things so I can help out a little bit hopefully!

Thanks for your kind words guys Doc said I am doing well and can start to do few things and if I am tired or it hurts stop so I need to listen to my body!
Hubby has been ok for a couple of days it really is day by day!

Just remember not to push yourself then Jen.
Like the doc said, listen to your body. Not do what your hubby does & ignore any signs, you have seen first hand what can happen if you don't do anything.
Enjoy the good days when they come!

Thanks Jods yeh I still get tired and uncomfortable at times. Not ready for work yet but help out by doing bit of paperwork at home. I wont be pushing because as you said we have seen what happens!

Thanks for your support guys! The doc has put him on different tablets another type of antidepressant he said he will not start taking them until the weekend as the last time he changed tabs he was really bombed for a few days!
He seems to be not as moody over the last week its weird the daughter has moved out of home she was no trouble we loved her being here. But our relationship seems a little bit better?
