| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | There is nothing like a bunch of government red tape to send you over the edge. Although you were really frustrated yesterday, it sounds like you didn't do anything stupid so congrats!
You hang in there and keep putting one foot in front of the other. I'm rooting for you!

| | Riger,
For me....Controlling my anger was one of the harder things to do. Sounds like you need to try and get a handle on the anger thing. Anthony has a link here some place about the anger issue. It might help if you read it.
You did a really great job yesterday......Just hang in there. Baby steps like you said.

| | Riger, I think your doing just fine under the circumstances. Well done on thinking about your wife and kids under the stress, and well done for not punching him. I have been their, walked away from some, belted others. I know its hard, just try and rationalize, and others don't feel what you feel, so whilst everything too you will be too hard, others cannot see it, nor could they comprehend it unless they have PTSD.
Well done and your doing great. |

| | Riger, You will overcome and come out the other side. Government red tape sucks and it sucks to jump through their hoops, especially when the hoops are triggers. You have alot on your plate, one bite at a time my brother. Kudo's on holding your temper yesterday.
Also with the kids, I have learned that dogs bark, cat meow and children/babies cry. If needed take a time out. I take a time out alot with my little one and it really helps keep things mentally in check for me, just a suggestion.
Have a good and safe weekend.

| | Hi Riger
I know I'm a bit late with the welcome as it seems you've been busy chatting away which can only be a good thing.
Just wanted to wish you good luck with those baby steps as you know that's where we all started in the first place (geez, that was a long time ago ) |
