| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Congrats Anthony! Thank you for starting the forum and thanks for everyone who contributes and helps themselves and others.
I found this site completely by accident. I had searched through a number of other PTSD sites and came away disappointed and even more confused. I remember putting in the words 'PTSD, fear and dread' into a search engine and a page from this forum popped up. I read it, printed it (I still have it) and then read some more and then joined. I felt at home and welcomed almost instantly. Like Lisa said, I didn't feel abnormal here. What a relief!
I've learned more about myself (and my PTSD) in the last nine months than at any other time in my life. Dealing with my traumas and learning to manage my PTSD...I know I wouldn't be as far along in my recovery as I am without having found this forum.
Again, thanks Anthony and thanks to everyone for your help!

| | Thank you to Anthony & everyone that contributes to this community.
I noticed that it has been 1 year today since I joined & I have learned so much during my time here. I know I would have struggled trying to help my husband (nugget) without the information & support that I have been given since I've been here.
It's a great feeling to know that we are not walking this path alone.
I once heard a quote that said, "If you hear footsteps behind you it is just your friends walking the journey with you". |

Anthony, thank you for this forum, I don't believe I need to tell you again how much you and others here have meant to our family. That you are ahead of your projected schedule only proves to me what a wonderful service you have here. I wish the forum much future success. |

| | Can i keep up? No... but the community as a whole can. This is why I want people to learn how to teach themselves what I know, what therapists know, the experience behind helping one self to heal and manage PTSD, then everyone can do it, they just have to really want it bad enough. |

| | Congratulations Anthony, and a heartfelt thank you for starting this community.
You should be very proud of yourself.
I admire the fact that despite your own suffering you turned a negative into a big positive by helping so many other sufferers. Well done. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
