| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Hey Jim, the video/audio software is not yet operational due to flashcoms still not releasing the new site email system as yet. It was supposed to be released yesterday, though obviously delayed.
As it stands now, the site is now running off the new dedicated server, the forum software is updated to the latest version, the server has the new Wowzamediapro FMS software installed and running for the video/audio applications, though currently still uses the third party company.
The only thing I am awaiting at present is for flashcoms to first release this new site email program, because if it is what I hope it is, then I will have them update and install all at once, instead off update the current version and route it too the wowzamediapro FMS then have to come back and install new software. It is cheaper to do it all at once and less downtime that way.
Once they have finalized their new releases, I will look at them, see whether or not they will do what I want them too, and whether their price is appropriate or not, then make decisions based on that.... then book installation / upgrade with them. |

| | Ah. All right then, thank you. It can wait. Don't know what I'm doing anyhow. ;-)

| | Upgraded chat is now installed, though some of the bugs still need to worked out. For the most part though, it works.
Users can now Instant Message (IM) one another directly when online from clicking the "IM" link next to their name.
Users can now Private Video Chat from clicking the link next to other online users name.
You won't see the IM or video link if the user is not online, is moderated or banned.
The new chat system no longer opens a popup window when you click the "live chat" button at the top of the forum, instead you go to a new page where the chat is embedded.
The first time you go into the chat you will land on the help tab. You have an inbuilt help guide, lots of new features to learn. The general tab is the chat. |

| | Just to keep you updated on upgrades. Flashcoms have not yet finalized the rollout of the email system as yet which I am still waiting upon. The chat is fully upgraded and integrated as you should be well aware now from the above post.
Once the email is released from flashcoms, this will be the basis for the mentor program to stream video / audio emails directly between mentors and mentoree's. Live chat runs from my server now, and that means completely including the FMS components. No more third part requirement from influxis now.
I still have to upgrade the Wowza license, though it is not essential yet until the email system is rolled out and installed here, providing it suits my needs, which I believe it will.
Slowly but surely, it is all coming together. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
