| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Yep good news all around. Of course we love her either way. However. Delighted to see her more happy and in control of her faculties. And. We've gotten nothing but fantastic medical care for her. Couldn't be more pleased.

| | I thought I would write in here briefly today, as it is 6 weeks exactly since Evie's surgery. The doctors told us if she went 6 weeks without raging or bizarre hallucinations, it would absolutely indicate the tumour was the cause of her problems. She has had her emotional ups and downs naturally, but no rages and no hallucinations and we are ever so pleased! Additionally, as of today she is permitted to practice driving again, so she wasted no time in getting Jim to take her out again, for the first time driving her new car! Perhaps we should go out for dinner tonight to celebrate both positive events! |

| | Yes we are extremely relieved. We were considering antipsychotic medication for her prior to the surgery so this is extremely positive news. |

| | Evie has given me permission to share this very positive news, as she is unfortunately not too positive about it herself at the moment. However, it looks as though she has gone into remission once more! Her recent blood work and other tests show no signs of the cancer, and also show her being well enough to engage in physical activity. Evie as I say is untrusting of the results, and afraid to hope, as she went into remission briefly a few months back only to go out of remission again very shortly afterwards. However, Jim and I will be hopeful for her, we are very pleased at the news! |

| | Thank you Claire. I suppose I should say, I am not without understanding of Evie's doubts about this latest remission. I did not mean to dismiss her feelings. She is the one dealing with the cancer and the uncertainty of it all, and I do understand it is difficult for her to feel positive when she has been let down so many times before. It wouldn't be easy for anyone, PTSD notwithstanding. However as I say Jim and I will be positive for her, until she is ready to do so herself. |
