Yes Hodge please do continue to send Evie emails as you feel, funny or otherwise. She does enjoy everyone's mail, though at the moment she hasn't the energy to respond all the time. If people stop mailing her, she may (wrongly no doubt) believe she is being avoided. She is quite paranoid about people worrying over her being ill with the cancer. That is a common problem for cancer patients, to worry about friends and family's feelings, however add PTSD to the mix and it becomes highly exaggerated! So any reassurance is good, as long as you feel comfortable with it of course.

Evie begins a series of further tests tomorrow. To see if she needs chemotherapy once more. I am accompanying her, and hope to Christ it is not too hard on her. At least she wants to drive part way! That is positive.

Jim.

Thank you Nicolette. Evie is raring to go. She's pissed off and ready to fight. Hope her attitude helps her.

Jim.

Evie and Jim have left for the clinic, so that Evie may have the necessary tests. I do hope all goes well. I simply must share the events of late last night, as I was laughing to myself under the bed covers (sorry Jim). Firstly the reader must comprehend that we live in a 3 storey home, and that Jim and I have our bedroom on the main floor, and Evie's bedroom is on third floor. It gives us both some degree of privacy. Last night Evie was having trouble sleeping, no doubt worried about the tests today. She was on the forum on her computer upstairs, and Jim was on the forum on his computer down here. Evie has a mobile phone so we may communicate with her upstairs (or if she's out in the court yard) and vice versa. Jim definitely over uses the phone (sorry again darling). I believe last night Evie had enough of Jim ringing her, so she turned the phone off. A power struggle ensued between the two of them at that point, with Jim communicating with Evie via the computer since she had turned off the phone. He was ordering her to bed, and she was ignoring him, and the exchange went on for nearly an hour. What a carry on!

I tried to tell Jim, just let her stay up and feel tired in the morning, she will live with the consequences. However Jim bless him must always have the last word. He ended the night around 2 am by climbing the stairs to the third floor to ensure Evie was in bed, only to find her sound asleep. So this morning he was exhausted and grumbling. Both of them are exceedingly stubborn!

Kathy,

Thanks for the story....It's the military in Jim and the fact....Ok, so all of you guys just please ignore this statement....."He's only a man." They have their "special" ways, & thoughts about just HOW things should be done. I'm sure that you are very knowledgeable in the art of smiling, and turning away to "Roll the eyeballs." LOL!!!!!

Gotta love them even if they are "just men."

Wen

No need for apologies Bec... I was highly amused myself! I believe Evie was amused as well, in her cheeky way. My husband, bless him, never learns.

Is obedience too much to ask for in one's own home?

Ah well. Must admit, I did feel rather foolish this morning. ;-)

Another difficult day for our Evie. Tests went well. However. Drive home was traumatic. Took close to 4 hours rather than the usual 2 and a half. Had to stop several times as Evie needed to vomit. In between the vomiting the poor girl was trying to sleep but kept awaking with nightmares. Is now in bed, but still having nightmares, more than usual. Believe the medical tests trigger her.

Jim.
