Just wanted to give a little update since some of you asked. It's amazing how fast things can change with this thing called PTSD...anyway, shortly after posting in this thread last, my wife and I had some amazing talks. She's told me that it just "clicked" for her recently, that she understands that PTSD is a part of her life and affects her. We talked for awhile about it, and she said the most amazing thing. She said that, now that she can talk about it, it doesn't upset her anymore. Like it isn't that big of a deal, like it's losing its power to affect her. No more shame, no more guilt. It is what it is, and she accepts it, and will handle it like any other issue life throws at her. I was so happy inside...I'm so proud of her!!! I feel like our biggest source of conflict is overcome...this is a great leap for our marriage...I know we can build on it. Thanks for the support...I know we will have problems like every other couple on earth, but I'm hoping that the PTSD based issues are no longer a source of conflict for us...she's come so far. What a woman!!! YES!
