| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Matt comes home tomorrow. I called and made all the arrangements today. Funnily, if I hadn't of called, they wouldn't have released him despite having arranged it last week! These people keep horrible notes.
I'm just glad it's done. I really feel it was quite the waste of time.
Matt will be starting full time school on Monday and I'm so looking forward to getting him back home!

| | I am sorry it did not work out Bec, but wonderful for you both that he is coming home today. Did he ever receive that MRI? |

| | Yes, they did it yesterday. I'm glad they did it, finally, but wasn't very impressed with them. I picked Matt up for his fiddle lesson and he was acting weird. They never told me he had been sedated! He was completely drugged up and it was a waste of a lesson. I was kinda pissed about that. I would have been better off to cancel the damn thing instead.
I go and get him at four (just under four hours! woo hoo!) and had to laugh. The SW called and told me he's just getting a weekend pass. But I just need to call Monday and assure them that everything is all right and they will do his release papers.
Even if something horrible happened (which it won't, this is my kid we are talking about here) he's not going back there. I thought it was funny that they are just trying to hang on for no apparent reason. Tough shit for them.
I can't wait for four!

| | Ah splendid Bec you got your boy back. Bloody awful experience you and he had. Really too bad. Have to wonder about our mental health system sometimes. Maybe we need to clone Kathleen and a few other goodies to make up for all the idiots out there. ;-)

| | Hehe, I'd go for Cloning her! We definitely need more SW's in this world with her sense of compassion, knowledge and common sense!
Matt is all tucked into bed now. It's a comforting thing.. hehe..
