| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | I Told Him! - Going to Inform New Friend of Details to my PTSD OK...it has been approx a month since we started seeing each other. We speak every night.
he did start asking a few questions and seemed genuinley to care and was concerned. really scaring me a bit......because I am not used to it (as She Cat pointed out)
So...last night i wrote down what caused the PTSD, not really details.....so i am waiting for the in person discussion. I am kind of like really nervous but want it to be out in the open. I really can't hide it...LOL
So...one day at a time...stay in today...I keep repeating that over and over. Mr stress level is extremely high from this, a new relationship, anniversary, bringing nightmares again but I do know that once things settle down again, this will too. Optomism......i am trying. |

| | Pandora,
Good job......remember that you only have to tell him what you are comfortable with, at any given time. You can do this at your pace.....There are no time frames....
I hope it goes well. I think it will, he sounds like he might just be a keeper...
