Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Okay, so I returned to work and finished my 4 week training. I am adjusting to being back to work better than I expected. I cannot say I love my job, but boy does the days go by fast right now. I have missed so much I am on here trying to catch up see how everyone has been. Well, just thought that I would hop on and let you all know that you are thought of often and I miss you guys. I lurk quite a bit but feel like I am out of the loop. Take care.....T.

Congradulations on your new job! Hope you will like it better as time goes, or will be able to find something you really like. I had myself been a packer, an assembler, a coffee shop saleperson, a cleaner, and a truck unloader before entering the field of veterinary medicine.

Yes, returning to work was very much a mountain to climb. I leave early every day and sit in my car outside getting up the courage to go in and start my day, it can take anywhere from 15 min. up to about 45 min to convince myself to go in. Hurdles we deal with huh? I have to deal with alot of angry people at work and they yell at curse at me over the phone, sadly, I am learing in most instances to let it roll off my back and try very hard not to let myself take it personal. It is very challenging for me and some days are alot more than others depending on my mindset.
