| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Dear Santa I know some of those of you who suffer from PTSD do not like the Festive Season so please ignore this thread as I do not wish to add stress to your situation or offend you.
For those of you, like me, who like Christmas I thought it would be interesting to hear how your preparations are going, what you would like Santa to bring you and what, if any holiday plans you have.
I personally haven't asked Santa for anything specific this year but I have been really good so I am hoping for a nice surprise.
Feel free to share if you wish............
Oh, and if any of you are talking to Anthony would you please tell him I don't like surprises so he should tell me what he is buying me. He won't let me tell him what gifts I have bought him as he likes surprises yet he doesn't respect my need to know instead of a surprise.... |

I've found so far this season, since I've decided on a very simple theme, that I'm actually looking forward to quietly spending time with some family members without all of the big 'too-do' that usually accompanies Christmas. Family being together instead of worrying about all of the other 'junk'...By George, I think she got it!!

| | I decided along with my mother to have a quiet, peaceful and stressless holdiay. We also decided "no gifts" It is, or should I it" WAS", just the 2 of us. We have put up our tree and it is beautiful. The packages are all under the tree--even if they are empty! LOL We've planned a simple Christams by enjoying the sights, sounds and true meaning of the season.
Our plans changed somewhat as all of you know. Missing daughter of 10 years called with all news good and my 1st granddaughter/grandbaby. The only way our Christmas could get any better is "if" we could see my dauhter, new son-in-law and that New Little Girl on Nov 13th.
My wish for everyone is to be as HAPPY and BLESSED as my mom and I are this Christmas.
Prayers and Blessing to you All GRAMA-HERC
P.S. Nicolette Thank you very much for starting this thread. You were right Some of us do need this

Let's see....I would love santa to bring me some meds that work....and I would love santa to bring some peace of mind to both myself and my wonderfully, caring and over-stressed girlfriend.

| | Judging by another thread here... I hope he has some air freshener of some sort for the stocking! Sounds like you will need some on hand with him around and his gifts that keep on giving ;) |

| | The funniest part for Nicolette is that I am going to go get her present today, as she is tucked in the city working all day.... a perfect time for me to go looking and wrap it in time before she gets home..... funny stuff that one as it will torment her now until the 25th. |
