Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Default I Hate It When You Guys Are Right!
Ok you wre all right. My kid called me this afternoon and we talked for 2 hours like nothing bad ever happened between us. Everything between us is fantastic. I also mailed the box of things I had gathered.

During our conversation she mentioned I could go on line and look up the web site where she bought the baby furniture and see what they got. WELL! When I turned on the computer there it was--an email---WITH BABY PICTURES OF MY NEW BORN GRANDDAUGHTER

The baby has been sick and the new mom is exhausted so good reason not to hear from her? ? ? ?

You guys were right. Hercules needs to CALM DOWN AND RELAX.

GRAMA-HERC also needs to resume her deep breathing relaxation techniques and chill out! ! ! ! ! !

Thanks guys! I keep pinching myself to be sure this is really happening and she really called AND I got pictures.

They are somewhat short of money since my daughter is not working right now so I told her that Mom and I would pay for the gas to come down so we can see and hold this little miracle.

Pinch me! I am dreaming! This is to cool to be real! What A Christmas Present I got this year.

Promise I will post a photo of MYnew grandbaby just as soon as I figure out how to do it. Remember, GRAMA-HERC "is" gadget challenged. My mom does better with her VCR than I do, but she will not even touch this machine asd she calls it. We have not exactly joined the new electronic world.

As I said in your other thread Herc, how wonderful to have those first pictures! I am pleased you are now realizing how important it is to not jump to conclusions one way or another in this situation. I haven't the time to go into details however there were many ups and downs initially when we were reunited with Evie, and we had similar problems with one of our sons years ago. I have no doubt having PTSD adds to the worry and stress tremendously, however do keep in mind relationships take time to rebuild. The actions of the parent really do make a difference. Keep the lines of communication open and be generous with your daughter. I wish you all the best, and a wonderful holiday!
