| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Forum Shake Up Once Home I am posting this to let people know I will be shaking this forum up once I return home from holidays. Why? The forum is taking a path that is mostly my fault, being lack of my own participation due to my own personal problems going on within my life at present. Many members have become quite enabling off one another vs. supportive or compassioniate at the right and appropriate times. There is a vast difference to supporting someone and enabling them by simply agreeing with them and patting them on the back for every little thing instead of pushing one another to achieve.
I will be changing that once home by giving more time here once again and pushing people's buttons to look inwards once again, instead of merely just agreeing with each other as is currently occuring across the forum.
This only reinforces itself to me by the number of members who have asked me to remove posts from their diaries because they believe another member is attacking them, because they are not agreeing with you. That is the point of this forum, to question one another which in turn helps one another push past our normal daily boundaries and comfort zones. We must be pushed to achieve our best with PTSD, otherwise we become stagnant and ill once more.
Things will change once I am home, so prepare to be shaken and not simply stirred once again. |

| | I believe Anthony needs to be far older (about 40 years older in fact) if he is to be my father!
However, it sounds very positive Anthony. I am looking forward to your comments. |

| | Anthony,
I am looking forward to your return. Although sometimes temporarily painful, very helpful. |

| | Sorry to be a stick in the mud but I would prefer us to be on holidays but do miss chatting with everyone.
As for Anthony being that old Kathy....no offence but no thanks
Seriously though I do not have PTSD but have noticed a somewhat downwards spiral in people's attitudes over the last few weeks. Perhaps now the silly season is out of the way everyone can get back on track (with not too many kicks up the butt from you know who ) |

| | Now that I am able to talk a bit more again, I wanted to add, I'm really glad your going to be posting more Anthony. But... I hope you don't overdo it. Remember that you come first, and take care of yourself. I don't want to see you get burned out or sick like I've seen happen to other people. |

| | Anthony, I'm looking forward to your increased participation, too, but second what Evie said about taking care of yourself. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
