actually the last time was when I had my wisdom teeth out 2 years ago (all 4 of them) since i lived in the UK at the time and they had to be cut out (general anastetic).. they do it in the hospital (not sure if they do that here in the US) ...was scary for me, i dont like either needles or gas.

The biggest problem for me with general anasthetics is the fasting before hand. And the mask over the face is pretty terrifying too.

Default Were You All Reading My Mind?

I despise, loathe, detest, hate etc etc things in my mouth. YES, I have a really hard time swallowing pills. My dad used to make me consume things just to see what effect they would have on me. I also had to hold ice cubes- no biting or chewing- in my teeth. My braces conducted the cold so that by the time he was done amusing himself, my teeth ached for hours. Still have trouble with things that are too cold.

YES, I have problems at the dentist. Didn't go to one for -what? 15 years, I guess. Thank goodness I have found two wonderful dentists who are aware of and sensitive to my condition. Can't do nitrous- the mask... So I take lots of sedatives- even for a regular cleaning.

And my food issues are too complicated to begin talking about. Let's just say my father's "experiments" with what I could consume really messed me up. I'm glad now that I didn't know then what could have happened to me from some of that stuff. Like did you know that you can drink too much water in a short period of time and rupture your stomach? REALLY grateful I didn't know that at 12. It would have been even worse. Though he did manage to make me averse to drinking water- one of the only truly necessary things you must do in order to live. Great guy, my dad. *sarcasm galore* red
