| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Pushed Myself Out of Bed and Went to the Movies Yesterday I was in a very bad mood, a bit depressed, anxious and tired. I wanted to stay in bed the entire day. But I forced myself to get up and have a shower. Usually my dad has to push me when I am in this bad of a mood but I did without his help this time. I then went into town, alone, and got groceries for my mum. While in town I decided on a whim to go to a movie, again alone! I have never been in a movie theatre alone. It was a matinee so not many people were in attendance but I was still proud of myself for it! I got myself a drink at a coffee shop afterwards too, before coming home again. I'm kind of excited as I didn't realize I was capable of doing all that on my own. It went very well! |

| | What a great feeling! How do you feel now?
I hope the movie was great! The Oscars are coming up in a few weeks.
The freedom of coming and going by yourself, in your own car, must be wonderful.
