Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Default PTSD Family - Son Murdered
Hi. I'm new here and thought I'd check things out. I hope this can be a safe place to learn new things and meet others.

My DH and I both have been Dxed with PTSD, and our daughter has 'Chronic PTSD' though I'm not sure what the difference is.

Our son was brutally murdered in 06 and our daughter found his body. He was only 2.

It's really only the tip of the iceberg, but it's hit us all really hard. I hope I/we can find support and maybe even help others.

Whatever God's plans are, he keeps it a secret, but I've come to the conclusion that he takes who he does, for whatever reason. Working in a doctors office which entail all areas of medicine, I, having lost my father and brother to huntington's disease, I say to myself, God even takes baby angels, angels of any age.
We can never know the why's while still on this planet, but to know that my family and friends are so eternally loved in heaven, and that all the bad that happened pre-death are all erased, replaced by loves eternal warmth, and no pain remains from the cause.
I feel your pain, I wish we all came with a book of instructions, but since we do not, thanks to Anthony, we have this forum to be amongst others whos hearts have felt dark pains.

I am truly sorry for your loss. He was your baby. I hope you can find comfort in this forum. I lost my step-son at 23 years old who was murdered. It happened 8 years ago and I still suffer. I can only imagine a baby.
