| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Hey thanks Nicolette for starting this and to everyone who's wished my mum and sister well. Mum is having a good break, just relaxing. Evie had her surgery yesterday.. bit of a complication in that she bled more than they were expecting so she needed a transfusion.. but she is stabilized. She'll probably be coming home soon. Thanks again all. |

| | Evie had her appendix out yesterday or some additional surgery too?
I have not been keeping up with what's been going on around here.
Tell Evie and everyone in your family that 2quilt (and of course the whole forum here ) is thinking of them and wishing them well and hopes Evie is healing and that she is not in any pain. I miss talking to her. |

| | Evie had her appendix out a week ago, then she seemed fine and came home for a couple of days, but there was a complication.. so she had to go back and have another surgery. This should be the last of it though.. |

| | Oh dear I'm rather embarrassed being included in this as I am more stressed than actually ill, Evie is the one in hospital currently. However thank you Nicolette and all for the very kind wishes. I decided to come on for a short while tonight and was surprised and pleased to find this thread. I am still having a bit of a rest, all the stresses upon our family lately have simply become a bit much for me. |

| | Kathy, my mother does not know of my PTSD or the severity of mental illness I deal with. However, my physical health crises are very stressful for her as she is just ready to see me well. That will not happen and I have accepted that but it is much harder on my mother. I can deal with my physical health problems so much easier then i can deal with the PTSD pain. Sometimes I think it is hardest on the mothers when we are physically sick...I don't think I am making much sense as I am sick again as well, but I think you know me well enough by this point to figure out whatever in the heck I am trying to say. Best wishes and strength to you and Evie both - and the rest of your family. =) |

| | Thank you Grace. Evie is being discharged from the hospital in the morning, and she and Jim will then be returning home. Jim has been in the city with Evie. I am very excited as I have been alone at home since Tuesday. I am rather lonely, I am so used to having a full house and 3 days completely alone seems like a lifetime! |
