Default I Went Sledding Today and Learned to Snowboard

Today my brother-in-law called and wanted to take my daughter sledding. I drove her over to his house and asked if I could go.

We had so much fun sledding and then I decided I wanted to try to snow board. So my BIL let me use his board and I practiced. I wiped out quite a few times but didn't get hurt to bad. However, I will feel it in the morning LOL

Finally, I was able to start at the top of the hill and make it to the bottom without wiping out. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would learn to snow board.

I haven't been sledding in over 20 years. This was so great to have had this experience with my daughter. I am so happy!

I never thought I would sled again because I can't tolerate the cold. But I just decided that when I was to cold I would leave. Oddly enough my BIL was the first one to say it's time to go. I thought for sure it would be me.

Peace
Tammy

I'm glad you had fun! I'm a skiier, (and have been since I was two years old). There's nothing like that feeling of you and the mountain...I compare it to flying. I always feel so free when the wind is blowing through my hair...it makes me forget about everything else.

Well done Tammy! You are braver than me, I would never get on a snowboard though it is something my younger children and grandchildren love.

Tammy,

Just doing something fun, and that can bring back a little bit of your childhood is so fun.... I'm glad that you had a good time.

I wouldn't get on a snowboard either......I am a chicken shit, and admit to it.

I just read this and I am so happy you were able to do this....kind of made me sad because I can't do anything physical right now and if I were to do something like this and fall the wrong way I could be paralyzed. Sorry.....just a downer issue for me I guess. Be thankful for your able body....I would give anything to be able to do physical activities again.....
