I am grateful for this forum. With the help of Anthony and the friends I've made here I am actually beginning to heal. I am grateful to all of you who have helped and stood by me through this journey.

I am grateful for several good friends who make me feel like I'm a valuable human being.
For my counselor, who is helping me come to terms with what happened to me and stop hating myself.
For the fact that I have a job and a home.
For the self-defense classes I take that make me feel a little less scared.
For my pet cat, who gives me a reason to get up every morning (he'd scratch my face if I didn't get out of bed!)
For good writers who create books for me to read and tv shows to watch, because both are important distractions.

Default More gratitude

Wow...what a beautiful thread.

Every day there is more to be grateful for!...and all your thoughts are triggering such happiness...I am grateful for that Tonight, several hours after I first posted to this thread, I am grateful for...

Music (right this minute it's Kenny Rankin...and Ella Fitzgerald)!!

LOVE!!!!

Every single person who has loved me...their love saved/saves my life and sanity.

The scent of the center of my sweet man's chest at the end of the day

Warm milk with honey and vanilla, before bed.

Cuddles, spoons, and embraces

Using this thread as an opportunity to give new meaning to the word "trigger." ... and how I've given new meaning to other words like "batter." --> About 17 years ago, in therapy, my mind spontaneously leapt from "batter" to "chocolate chip cookies!"

Speaking of cookies: lemon crisps from Crabtree & Evelyn!

How our kitten, Vida, leaps like a Cirque du Kitty acrobat when we get her going with the Playzer!

The astounding resilience of the human soul.

Nic,

Aquafor is a lot like Vaseline. When I was little my dad always fed our cats a little Vaseline to clear fur balls. Maybe it really works!

Hi, kitty lovers...a wee suggestion: try letting them lick some unsalted butter from your fingers, a tiny bit of olive oil in your cats' food, or a natural remedy (available at more holistically-oriented pet shops). Vaseline contains petrolatum...a by-product of crude oil.

Thanks for the tip. A lick of olive oil sounds a whole lot easier to swallow than a glob of Vaseline.

I am grateful that no-one remarked on how I mispelled grateful/ great full.

I am grateful for a sense of humour and still being able to laugh from the core of me.
:-)
