Great-full --> full of greatness of spirit!

I'm reminded of a friend who once wrote me a letter and spelled "soul" soal. I loved it!

Another thing to be grateful for: word-play!

word-play which reminds of people for whom I thankful:

Donald Hall
Spencer Reece
WS Merwin
Louise Gluck
Sharon Olds
Ann Sexton
Yeats
Fredrico Lorca
Franz Wright

and numerous other poets who, during my childhood, saved me from my own sadness.

Anne Sexton grew up right near me...(but at a different time, of course). I love her poem "Starry, Starry Night." Did you know there's a song of it as well?

Oh, and I am very grateful to artists (of various genres) who create beautiful works of art that help me connect to my fellow human beings :-)

And today I'm grateful that it's Friday...TGIF!!!
