| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Hi, I'm New I went to post yesterday but my emotions were so mixed up I didn't know where to start, or what to write. I'm more chilled out this morning, so here I am.
I haven't read any of the postings yet, mainly because I'm in such a down place, and relating to others that are down seems to exacerbate that. (Does that make sense?)
I have quite a few problems, (Should I write disorders?) which all stem from a few things that happened. Without getting into specifics, I realize that I'm a mess, and I need help.
Thanks,
scm |

| | Hi SCM, I received your contact form request, however; please have patience as we have a lot of work to perform here, not just one or two posts to view and moderate, instead hundreds. You can say who you are until your blue in the face, that doesn't change the policy here. Every member proves themselves for the overall sanctity of the community, not myself. If you do not endorse the forum methods, it is your choice to stay or go, though forum policy exists for good reasons, reasons which you may want to learn first and understand from reading around, reading the about forum, reading the announcement forum, etc.... which outlines some of the past issues.
Sorry you feel inconvenienced, again though; policy exists for a reason and nobody is exempt from it. Welcome aboard and please have patience. |

| | SCM:
1st step - recognize you need help ..... DID THAT :)
2nd step - Hang in there! Be careful in what you choose to read in the forum so it doesn't add to your emotions in a negative way. Choose the lighter topics until you have your feet under you.
Best of Luck

| | Anthony I thoroughly understand, and I can appreciate why this forum is run the way it is. There seem to be many BS'ers out there, and weeding through all the posts must be time consuming at best.
I was in a very bad place when I last posted; thanks though for taking time to reply.
And Cindy - thanks too.
