When Alex was taking Mohexal, they made him tied all of the time; which didn't help the depression at all. He even got nasty with me for the first time since we'd been together and was too short with the two boys. Eventually he decided to stop taking them as they were really straining our relationship. He is now medication free and is doing a lot better, and he is no longer the nasty SOB he was when he was on them.
I agree with what the others have said, if they aren't working, get off them.
Good luck with finding one that does help though.

Default new development- anxiety about leaving home

Hi everyone

Thanks for your support. The "zombie-ness" has settled out, and the doc decided that it was worth sticking with it to see if there is further improvement rather than starting all over again with another drug.

However, he is now getting extremely anxious about leaving the house. He wouldn't even go for a walk with me. I really think this is the wrong medication its not gonna help the cause towards getting back to work. Anyway, he's back at the doc again this week so hopefully we'll be able to move forward...

Thanks again

Oh dear, you don't need to add in this new anxiety - the fear of leaving one's house can be so disabling! Will your DH share that bit with the doc? If not, is the doc amenable to also meeting with you for a few minutes, along with your DH? It would be very valuable for the doc to hear the before and after picture from you.
