Default Conflict Resolution

At work they were putting down the Conflict Resolution Policy & Practice Principles which are referred to as the 6 R's. I thought I would share it here.

The six R's for dealing with conflict resolution are:
  1. Responsiveness - taking the conflict as being important and doing something about it
  2. Relationship - aim to protect it
  3. Respect - respect the views and opinions of all those involved
  4. Responsibility - all involved have some responsibility to the situation and each much own their own part
  5. Regret - apology is important
  6. Reconciliation - mending the relationship. Resolution is only achieved when there is a reconciliation between parties.

Nicolette, I'm glad you shared this info. here with us. It makes for very good reference, for someone like me to return to and ask of myself:

Where am I achieving and doing well? Where am I progressively being more and more Responsive, Selfless, Respectful, Responsible, Apologetic when due and Continually Willing to carry my share in Reconciling differences and in some instances Relationships? Also, Where am I failing?

Thanks again, Nicolette!

Hope
