| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Me and Virgin In another thread someone asked me why I don't really talk about myself much and I told the it was because I am shy. I thought about this and decided I should try open up a bit. So I thought I would tell you about something that made me really mad.
Today I found out that Virgin Credit Cards is folding. This means I have to go find a new credit card company, go through all the motions of getting a new card. I just don.t feel like doing that. Just thinking about it makes me want to just sit and do nothing. With the lights off. I really think Richard Branson has dropped the ball here. Geez.
So that was me talking about me. Not the deepest topic but it's a start I guess. |

| | I have never heard of Virgin credit cards. If you are in the USA, never get a Discovercard. They are corrupt, they won't investigate your disputes legally and they won't cancel your account when you ask them to do it. I know from personal experience. |

| | Hi illuminating, I think you did a good job in opening up. Your right, it is a start and I hope you continue. If you don't open up most likely you won't heal. The quicker you start talking and getting it out of your system the quicker you will see results in your mental health.
Good luck

| | Congrats on just speaking.
I remember when I was in hospital. Group therapy was a joke to me for the 1st week. Never opened my mouth. Once I figured out that everybody else was as big a mess as I was it made opening up and sharing a lot easier.
Trust me. We are all here for the same reason. You can talk to us |

| | Granny, when I had group therapy, depending on the groups I was with, most of the time it was more of a headache than anything else.
Illuminated, I wish you the best. I can't say anything more than that. Sorry! |

| | Hey guys thanks for the kind words. It is hard for me to open up but I think if I go slowly then eventually I will reach my goals.
As for the credit card thing, I live in Australia. I don't know if Virgin Credit Cards are international or not?? I would assume the UK would have them. I was looking for more info on the web, I didn't find much but I did find this amusing poster. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
