This is EXACTLY me. I've actually had many people become very upset with me because I had a hard time accepting their compliments.

I still have a very hard time accepting compliments. I think people are just lying to me to either "get" something from me, they feel badly for me, or because they feel like they "have" to give me compliments.

I used to suffer from one, but I'm over it now. I won't feel guilt over anything that is not my fault. Some times I have to ponder what I own and what I don't.

The problems I've caused I take responsibility for them and try to make it right, but I WILL NOT beat myself up over it.

As far as compliments go I take into consideration who is giving them. If I think they are sincere I will accept it. However, if I feel they are B/Sing me I discard it.
