First intro was a bit simple:

Putting it simply - my ptsd developed about 1.5/2 months after i witnessed what i thought was one of my parents committing suicide. Hard to explain erm, this parent was in a really bad state after the other left (divorce) and one day after both parents talked outside my house, the other (bad state parents) ran inside, i followed, they pulled a kitchen knife from the draw, turned it upon themselves and fell back with the knife. I ran out to get help from the other parent before i could stay to look anymore, and then ran back to the kitchen to find that the parent had not killed themselves, but only i suppose "half" went for it.

Apologies for the confusing 'parents' parts, to be honest i just find it uncomfy to referr right now.

To be completely honest i do not feel like this is anything justifiable after seeing others experiences.

Olly,

Welcome to the forum.... Are you in therapy? If not I would advise you to seek out a therapist. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD then please remember this.....It doesn't matter HOW you got PTSD, or what you went through. Trauma is trauma, pain is pain, to all of us. It's the end result that we are left with PTSD.
