| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Fog Fog
A warm fall day gives way to evening’s cool,
And Fog slips out to hover o’er the pond.
Slowly pulling himself up ‘round the edge,
He spreads his wispy fingers ‘round the fronds.
Rising just enough to view dark terrain,
He will carefully check the path to take.
Choosing which are easiest to ambush,
Fog grows now with each quiet step he makes.
He creeps still, sliding out among the fields,
Engulfing all as he proceeds to grow.
Higher, wider, he feels all the power,
Supposing there’s no place he cannot go.
Spreading ever faster and so careless,
He chokes all warmth and light from morning sun.
Sun begins to climb, now somewhat higher…
Fog sees that he is beaten, and he runs.
Releasing his hold o’er all once captured,
He’ll roll quickly now, to his watery home.
Fog will rant to sun that he was cheated…
It won’t be long ‘til he begins to roam. |

| | Hear the Breeze Hear the Breeze
Hear the breeze
In the trees…
Follow me,
Come, be free…
Pull away,
Then you may…
Run away,
Come today…
Come and hide
By my side…
Yes, let’s go,
Don’t you know…
You can fly
Soar up high…
Loose the chain,
No more pain…
You will find
Peace of mind…
Leave behind
All your kind. |

| | moonlit snow Moonlit Snow
While looking out on moonlit snow,
Beholding beauty there, I know,
It’s evidence of God’s desire
To rescue us from sin’s dark mire.
Snow, glistening so pure and bright,
Blankets all t’would come to light.
Such evil lurks there, dark and deep,
Hidden by Christ’s blood, to keep.
My heart rejoices, now, to know
His love will never melt, as snow.
Because I know I’m His always,
I lift my arms to Him in praise. |

| | monstrous beast Monstrous Beast
A monstrous beast unfurled his wings
Across ever darkening sky.
Black, inky shrouds engulfed all life,
While silently, the beast slipped by.
As he then stretched from west to east,
Thunderous, evil laughter rolled,
And all the earth began to shake,
His seed of fear and darkness sowed.
Shaking trees bowed in submission,
Unable just to take a stand
Against a beast so dark and foul,
Yet thundered he a reprimand.
Began a fearsome battle then,
Between earth and the monstrous beast.
Great flashes arced from beast to ground…
Beast moaned aloud, his laughter ceased.
Finally, this battle over,
And monstrous beast made quick retreat.
Great tears then fell into the night,
While stormy beast fell to defeat. |

| | winter's anger brews. Winter’s Anger Brews
Winter’s anger brews now,
And I can feel the fear.
Though Autumn tries to hide,
It seems her fate is near.
The darkened oak tree groans…
So gnarled, bare, and stark.
With arms of anger now,
He’s reaching in the dark.
The storms of Winter rage…
And Autumn is not strong.
She’s buried now by snow,
And so, her life is gone. |

| | Winter Banshee Winter Banshee
Winter wind is a banshee,
Shrieking, wailing through the trees.
Shaking them with all her might…
Hoping to enjoy the fight.
Winter cold will shivers spill,
Spreading his own icy chill…
Hanging daggers made of ice,
Never even thinking twice.
Winter storm will build and brew,
Sending clouds to get his due.
Run and hide from his dark threat…
By and by, he’ll get you yet.
