The last assessment I had to see if I really have PTSD, I didn't find out anything new ... just regurgitation of things I already know about myself: I have major issues with anxiety, depression, and alcohol. It was some sort of general test that covered a wide variety of things. Sooo I've hauled my butt over to the psychology clinic place that's on the University of Denver campus where they have a lot more testing and assessments available. I had my first appointment last Tuesday and I'm going in for another one tomorrow. Once she gets all the information she needs about me then she and her supervisor will figure out which assessments they think would be most appropriate for me. I'm not sure what all assessments they have but there are obviously several available just from what she told me, not just some little general assessment thing that I did before.

This will also be more intense compared to the pissy little thing I took a few months back. That one took about an hour, if that ... this assessment will be several hours, as in 10+ hours total so obviously a lot more in depth. I just want some answers. It will be relatively cheap since they also run on a sliding scale. Given my financial situation at the moment, I've been given the lowest fee bracket without even having to provide proof of income. She just decided to go ahead and give it to me given what I've told her about my inability to hold a job and even just to get a job that will pay my bills. I'll only have to pay $20 an hour, so I'll end up paying $200 - 300 depending on how many hours the assessment takes. She said length depends on which combination of assessments I am taking. I am being cautiously hopeful about this.
