| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Continuing this story of sucess is going to include a true joke. My kid called me for cooking advice. HA! ! I made a real funny. If the good lord had intended me to cook he would not have invented restraunts. I am not a cook nor can I cook. For my kid to call me for cooking advice is so cool. To bad I was not able to help her.
It is still a sucess story even if I can't cook! |

| | Another chapter in the success of the reunion of myself and m y daughter. She called again.
This time she needed someone to talk to. That really made me feel like our relationship had moved into a more secure place than ever before. She is having mother-in-law trouble and just had to vent. Imagine, a kid who 6 months ago would not even talk to me, trusts me enough now to vent to me.
Patience, that's the key. My mom has always told me that my daughter would come back to me someday. She was right and I am so glad she was. My kid has forgiven me and I her! |

| | Update to this success story that has me on Cloud nine or maybe even cloud ten!!!
My daughter is flying down to visit me for my birthday and bringing my grandbaby. I still can't believe it is happening. I keep pinching myself that this is actually happening. She is coming to see us ! ! (gotta included the great grama--my mom)
Miracles do happen and they happen to us at the most unusual times in our lifes.
OMG! ! ! MY KID IS COMING TO SEE ME AND BRINGING MY 1st GRANDBABY
This is a success story for all of you who are estranged from your family. It can happen and will happen when you least expect it and when you finally give up the guilt you carry.
I pray all of you can one day feel the joy I am feeling and share your joy as I am sharing. |

Thank you so very much for your kind words. This is going to be a special visit. There is more to it than just seeing my new and only grandbaby. My daughter will be standing in front of me, smiling and everything. I won't believe it until she is right there where I can hug her and look into her eyes and see she has forgiven me and loves me and all that other mushy stuff.
