We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Default Recent Unexplainable Flashbacks???
Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I've been having flashbacks alot lately. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in them I don't realize I've been staring into space for 10-20 minutes. The flashbacks are of my ex-relationships, and even though they weren't that great and there was some abuse, I feel like I've never been in a traumatic situation. What exactly constitutes as traumatic? How do I make my mind stop thinking about these things. It's gotten to the point that I can't even have sex with my boyfriend because I can't focus. It seems to be the worst during sex, and not all the time but most, the flashbacks are of sexual encounters, but not good ones. I'm very confused and I really want my mind back. HELP!

Welcome to the forum. My first question would be, have you been diagnosed with PTSD??? Has there ever been any sexual abuse in your life???

Seeing a therapist would greatly help you to sort out your questions, and likely help you to come up with a solution also.
