Default Really Gonna Hit Post This Time

I was seeing a counselor last year who doesn't believe in labels, but kept saying stuff, like "well, there must have been some trauma", or "That's because of the trauma", and there there was nothing 'wrong' with me, which aggravated the heck out of me. I had noooo understanding of what 'trauma' meant, and I was so convinced that I must have a personality disorder and just wanted to get on with 'fixing' it. I got really frustrated and stopped going. For some reason a few weeks (a month?) or so ago the idea to look up trauma just popped into my head, and I had a lightbulb moment. Have been lurking here for awhile now, but haven't posted, because I don't know if that is enough of a diagnosis to be talking here or not I am back on the waiting list to go back to counseling, it will probably be until august to get back in.

Thank You for the welcome Is it ok to participate in the forums? I'm pretty sure that this is what that counsellor was getting at, but at the time I got really defensive, so she started side stepping the issue. Or should I wait till someone says 'definatly, yes, this is what you have'?
