| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | |

| | Hello, I'm New To This, But Here Goes I'm a 22 year old girl located in Norway.
I've been going to therapy since the age of 14 due to many painful experiences throughout my childhood, and I got the CPTSD diagnosis at age 18. My main problems are anxiety and hearing voices, but I also have been experiencing periods of dissociation.
I've been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years and I've been stuffed to my limits with antipsychotic drugs.. Well, now I'm starting to get the hang of this, and I owe it all to my fantastic therapists!
I surely have my up and downs, and I never count on anything but a new drop into "Neverland". I just thought it might be worth the try to be a bit optimistic for once.
I look forward to talk to you all, and I hope that we all can stand tall in the end. |

| | Hi Hollow,
Glad you are here. There are a good many of us that share some similar expereinces. I haven't been erhe long either, but there are some good, helpful and caring folks here. The thing that is cool is that the things that we experience sound totally off the wall to people who don't know about PTSD, ehre the "wierd" stuff is common. Here we can talk about the drop offs to the "twilight zone" and people electronically are nodding saying yep been there man.
Anyhow, good to see you here. |
