Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now.

Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year.

Default Hello - Diagnosed Complex PTSD
I am not very good with introducing myself as I really don't like to talk about me. I am searching for a community of people that understand what I have lived through and continue to deal with all these years later. I have been diagnosed with severe depression and complex PTSD. I am currently on meds to help, but they don't take it away. I do have a wonderful therapist, and feel blessed to have that support. My family and friends know nothing of what has gone on and I do my best not to let my children see how fragile their mother really is. Thank you for listening and as I become more comfortable here, perhaps I can help to support others as well as receive support.

Welcome, I too am new to this site and I can't mseem to introduce myself. It is hard to let people know about you and your struggles. I do feel very alone and have chosen not to confide in any friends about my complex PTSD. Can you tell me how you put your message on this site? and how long did it take for you to get brave enough to disclose any information. Please give me you advice I needs help

Welcome to the forum! I am new here myself. I was interested to see you mention C-PTSD, as we believe this may be what my husband has. (He has already been diagnosed with PTSD.) Thank you for your post; I've already found some very good information on this forum and hope that you will too.
