| | Notices | Welcome to PTSD Forum. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a life threatening, debilitating disorder that can break down a sufferer’s body through anxiety and stress. Further it poses a significant suicide risk resulting from the brains neurological imbalance and chemical depression. Sufferers often live in denial, thus this community is aimed at helping PTSD sufferers help themselves through others experiences, guidance and education. We are here for the sufferer, spouse and families surrounding PTSD. Spouses and family are too often forgotten in this equation, and often they receive all the worst that PTSD has to offer. If you're involved in any way with PTSD, get registered and help yourself now. Non-active members will eventually be deleted. If you are not a sufferer, carer or someone within the mental health industry, and active, then there is little reason for you to be a member of this forum. Non-active members with zero posts are deleted periodically during the year. | | |

| | Reminder For All Members Hi Everyone
Some members are complaining about how long it is taking for their posts to be approved from moderation. I would like to point out that moderating is a big job and we try and do it as quickly as possible however our time is donated freely and sometimes we cannot be here for hours on end every single day to approve posts.
I would like to remind members of formatting requirements. Please re-read the Editorial Policy if needed. We seem to be spending more and more time editing such things as capitalising threads etc which is time better spent moderating. Please help us help you by trying to post the right way the first time. And please....no live links.
Thanks so much! |

| | Yep.... new members need to read the rules ASAP, or else I am going to begin getting quite tough on new posts again, as I have done in the past. Its often not pretty for any off us. Rules equal conformity, uniformity. Everybody doing the same thing here in regards to posting style, everyone equal... no special people being individuals thanks. Keep that of this forum. |

| | Hello-
Yes, please, new members- I truly hope that you are reading this thread and immediately going to read the editorial policy of this forum.
Posts have gotten extremely sloppy lately. I spend more time capitalizing the titles of posts than I do approving them!
Also, there is an information section of this forum. It's wonderful, and I remember when I first came here I spent days reading the information section and browsing the forum before I jumped headlong into posting.
Best,
Rachel |

| | I'd really like to take the time to thank the wonderful people that run the board, take the time to administrate and moderate every thing that goes on here. It takes a lot of their personal time to get all of this work done, every one should be patient and grateful for every thing they do.
Thanks again. |

| | I can't imagine what a difficult job it must be to moderate these forums. While it is difficult to be patient for post to appear after being moderated I understand and appreciate that this is a global forum with people posting at any and all times of the day/night. Everyone has lives away from the computer, and I applaud those who VOLUNTEER their time to this. I can feel safer posting and sharing honestly knowing things are in place to keep predators and spammers at bay. |

| | You are very welcome Nicolette. All of you deserve it and are not often recognized. I don't think most of the members realize the amount of time and energy that is required to keep this place up and running. |

| | Come on guys and gals.
I'm still spending ages capitalising threads.....Please help out and do the right thing in the first instance.
If you don't it means the newest members suffer too as it takes longer to get through all the editing and moderating which means their posts take longer to get to which means taking longer for posts to go live.
Anthony is currently busy so I'm here doing a fair amount of the moderating and editing (except private PTSD as I don't have access) so I really would appreciate your help.
Please help us help all members. Thanks |

I spend more time capitalizing the titles of posts than I do approving them! | In addition to reading editorial policy found linked in a notice to us all at the top of our page and also found in the FAQ's section on the left of the screen another very important and recent thread and read can be found in the Announcement section: User Infraction System Implementation.
